WHAT IS ADVENTURES IN CHARITY?

An IRS approved 501(c)(3) charity that raises money for numerous worthy causes. Over the years, those causes included the American Heart Association, A Better Life Pet Rescue, The American Diabetes Association, the Dravet Foundation, the Leukemia Society, The Actor’s Home, The Sjongen’s Syndrome Foundation, The Winter Park Playhouse, and many more.  Over the past five years, Adventures in Charity has raised around $75,000.00.  At the ten year point of the closing of the Adventurers Club, the Charity held the Final “Adventures in Charity”.  The Board passed a resolution to disband Adventures in Charity” subject to final ‘winding up” operations.   Because the mission of the Foundation is to promote intimate, interactive theatre, the Board voted to use its remaining assets (40 small tables and a great sound system) to donate to the Irish Heritage Center Charitable Foundation for the development of the Erin Cabaret Ballroom at the Irish Heritage Center in Cincinnati.

WHAT IS ADVENTURES IN CABARET?

A service mark used by Adventures in Charity to represent its last, “winding up” event to help launch and develop  the Irish Heritage Center Cabaret Ballroom in honor of Dr. Beverly Croskery, a great patron of the Arts.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MONEY RAISED?

Every dime raised by the event above expenses will go into trust for the development of the Erin Cabaret Ballroom.  The Ballroom is a great space with proper acoustics (an all wood floor and 15 foot ceiling) and is ideal for Cabaret.  However, it needs a great deal of work.  The work needed includes a new roof, the floor being sanded, stained, and sealed, the ceiling repaired, new lighting to replace the florescent fixtures, the walls painted, etc.

IS MY TICKET TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?

Partially. The IRS lets you deduct what you paid, minus the actual value of the ticket. For planning purposes, figure the actual value of the ticket as $7.50 for Theater, $$15.00 for Captain Level, $30.00 for Major VIP, and $50.00 for Colonel VIP.

ARE MY SEATS ASSIGNED?

Yes. All  seats are assigned. Guests who purchase their tickets first will get the best available at in their category . For table seating, the tables are assigned, but not the specific seats. There are up to 4 persons per table.

WHAT IS THE V.I.P PARTY?

The VIP Party, at 5:30, in Croskery Law Offices, is for those persons purchasing Major Patron Tickets or Colonel VIP Tickets.  It is a “meet the Cast” party on the 2nd floor.

WHO IS THE TALENT COORDINATOR?

Andrea Canny, Adventurer nonpareil  and fabulous Cabaret Singer, is designing the show.  And, of course, there may well be line-up changes as we get closer to the show. Expect a great time and show!
